about

Recorded and mixed 6/5/97 @ John Emerson's House (Elgin, IL)
John recorded many great bands. We weren't one of them, but we are super proud of this recording and thankful that we had a chance to spend the time with him.
This was our first time at John's, as Adhesive, but we had been there in previous bands and had the pleasure of having him behind the board at countless shows. So, we were extremely excited to be working with him, again.
He had an amazingly dry sense of humor and was one of the nicest guys around. He would give you the shirt off his back- except for his ever present Oblivion shirt. I asked and was promptly denied.
Lomo One and Passed Bonnie Brae were released on a split 7", with Filament. Ghetto Mechanic was recorded for an ill fated Naked Raygun tribute CD, that never came to fruition.
I would say that this was recorded by John and mixed by Adhesive, but whenever we asked John to make an adjustment, he would move the fader, then move it back, when he thought you weren't looking.
We always got the John mix, whether we asked for it, or not.
How could you not love that guy?
